Journal of Conflict Management - Call for Submissions
Call for Submissions
Journal of Conflict Management
The Journal of Conflict Management (JOCM) is a peer-reviewed journal that has been established to fill the need for an interdisciplinary journal to disseminate research and practice in the broad fields of conflict management, dispute resolution, mediation, and related areas. Due to generous donations of time and resources and in an effort to promote the widest possible distribution and influence of our authors’ work, JOCM is made freely available, without requiring subscriptions or fees to authors or readers.
You are invited to submit a manuscript for consideration for the inaugural issue of JOCM. Manuscripts may emphasize research (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods), theory, education, or practical application/best practices. Articles from various disciplines, settings and locales are considered.
JOCM has an Editorial Board of widely recognized and published professionals in the field of conflict management. The Journal incorporates a double-blind peer reviewing procedure. Authors are therefore requested to submit a manuscript without author names or affiliations in the text or references. A separate title page file, containing each author's name, affiliation, address, phone number and e-mail address, should accompany the manuscript. Please send all manuscripts electronically to Dr. LaVena Wilkin at editor(at)jocm.net.
JOCM is an English-language journal. Articles will typically be between 3,000 and 7,000 words in length, but longer articles may be approved by contacting the Editor. A clear and concise abstract of 100 to 150 words should be included at the beginning of the article.
Manuscripts must follow the 6th Edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA). Authors are responsible for checking the accuracy of their manuscripts and ensuring that all in-text references appear in the reference list at the end of the contribution (see Self-Identifying Citations and References above). All submissions, including the abstract, figures, tables and references, must be double-spaced with one-inch margin on all sides. Manuscripts that do not follow APA publication guidelines will not be considered for review.
Manuscripts sent by February 28, 2013 will be considered for the inaugural issue. For additional information on manuscript preparation, please go to http://jocm.net and refer to the Information for Authors link.
