What does your New Economy look like?

The New Economics Institute seeks proposals for strategic summits on the transition to a just and sustainable economy, coordinated and hosted by University students in collaboration with community organizations and faculty partners.

Eight grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded. In addition to financial support, we are also committed to helping you make your vision a reality with trainings, access to our networks, and on-going consultation. Students and their organizing committees are encouraged to raise additional funds necessary from their host institutions and/or through a variety of other creative means.

How do I apply?
Step One: Get inspired and learn more

Check out the links in the right sidebar for more information the project and inspiration about what you could do in your community!


Step Two: Submit a letter of interest (required)
Fill out a letter of interest form to get in touch with our Student Network staff and get the ball rolling on your proposal.

Step Three: NEI Student Network staff will be in touch to discuss possible proposal.

Within 48 hours of filling out a form, we will contact you with more information and guidance.

Step Four: Submit a formal proposal (deadline 12/8/2012)

Our Student Network staff will walk you through the proposal submission process. You must complete steps 1-3 to submit a proposal.

Step Five: Organize an awesome event on your campus!

Step Six: Participate in a national convening of student leaders in Summer 2013
