Program Manager
Global Nomads Group (GNG) is seeking a dynamic Program Manager based in Amman, Jordan to manage the development and implementation of GNG’s programing in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The Program Manager will work in three key areas 1) offer vision and strategy for regional growth; 2) Manage program implementation and support staff; and 3) develop and maintain key partnerships.  This position reports to the Executive Director.

Job Description
•Support the “start-up” of GNG’s regional MENA office.

•Collaborate with Manager of Programs to develop and achieve program goals and objectives in accordance with donor expectations, grant agreements and work plans in collaboration with the Senior Program Manager.

•Design and implement a regional strategy for the MENA countries, in collaboration with the Executive Director.

•Design curricula, virtual exchange activities, and supporting material for assigned programs.

•Responsible for managing the implementation and scheduling of program activities.

•Ensure that contracts with partners and vendors are issued, completed and monitored for compliance.

•Identifying and overseeing funding opportunities for the MENA region.

•Responsible for complying with and maintaining reports regarding program activities, the project budget and for tracking expenses, data on monitoring and evaluation, and for submitting timely program reports.

•Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with partners including civil society organizations, schools and educators and assist them in increasing their capacity to meet program objectives.

•Contribute to outreach efforts.


Qualifications
•Advanced degree in Education or Media preferred, four-year college degree will be considered (in a relevant subject area).

•Seven-years of relevant work experience including proven experience managing programs or projects with a focus on youth and/or the media sector is required.

•Proven experience as an educator in formal Secondary School Education is a distinct advantage.

•Demonstrated ability to design and implement program strategies and in expanding existing programs.

•Knowledge of technology and media production will be strongly desired.

•First hand experience in the MENA region is required.

•Proficiency in oral and written Arabic is required.

•Entrepreneurial spirit required.

•Impeccable interpersonal, communication, research and presentation skills including strong writing skills is necessary.

•Strong partnership management skills and experience in donor relations is desired.

•Ability to multitask, to be well-organized and must possess efficient time management skills.

•Internet and computer proficiency is necessary.

•Willingness to travel within the MENA region.

•Relocation may be required.

•Must be a team player, adaptable, and self-motivated

•Must be passionate and committed to the empowerment of youth through innovative projects relating to youth and media.
