YOUTH PARLIAMENT FOR ADVANCE EMPOWERMENT ANNUAL CONGRESS 2011
THEME: Redeeming the Image of Ghana, Mitigating Youth Crime
INTRODUCTION
The Youth Parliament for Advance Empowerment (YPAE) is a youth advocacy platform of Women Initiative and Children Empowerment Foundation, a local NGO in the Techiman Municipality offering dynamic services to grass root communities within the catchments areas since 2008. The Association which was set up in 2009 is made up of 720 active comrades from various basic and secondary schools nation wide.
The Association through WICEFOUND has provided programmes in education and awareness creation to the Municipality which inhabits 218000 populations. Also it has embarked on 5 different health education and clean up campaigns in the Municipal Township since its inception. Besides, it has engaged in several radio panel discussion programmes on environmental protection and girl-child education. Moreover, it has help nearly 38 schools with the supply of tree and flower seedlings for environmental beautification.
