Event Description

NAFSA 2010 Annual Conference & Expo – Call for Proposals

Conference

The Changing Landscape of Global Higher Education

Kansas City, Missouri, May 30–June 4, 2010

The NAFSA 2010 Annual Conference & Expo will bring together over 8,000 international educators to Kansas City, Missouri. Featuring more than 250 sessions and workshops, unlimited networking opportunities, and a dynamic Expo, the conference promises to be an exciting week. Whether you're in the mood for historical sites, a vibrant arts and cultural scene, or great nightlife, Kansas City offers something for everyone.

The Changing Landscape of Global Higher Education
International educators are increasingly demanding more relevancy and depth in conference learning opportunities. The Annual Conference Committee (ACC) will continue its efforts to ensure the highest quality of educational offerings at the NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo.

Reading the instructions for submitting a proposal will be your first step towards creating a strong proposal for the 2010 Annual Conference.

The 2010 proposal reviewers will pay particular attention to how proposals connect with specific groups attending the conference. To ensure value for participants, proposals must demonstrate the use of effective adult learning principles and practices. Proposals most likely to be successful are those that are informative and relevant, with clear and immediate application to the work of audience participants. Strong proposals will focus tightly on specific content rather than including every aspect of a topic, and will include opportunities for learner engagement during the session and beyond.
