Course Overview
Organisations working to promote social change and to support development often struggle to demonstrate and measure the impact of their work. There is increasing pressure for accountability and for organisations to show that they are making a difference and providing value for money.
Impact evaluations provide organisations with valuable information regarding the effectiveness and impact of projects and programme and strengthens accountability to key stakeholders. They focus on the longer term impacts of a project or programme and enable organisations to identify the changes resulting from their work and how this work is affecting peoples lives. Evaluations are also critical tools in organisational growth and development and in planning and decision making processes.
The course will strengthen the capacity of organisations to evaluate their work more effectively and to assess its impact on the lives of people and communities and will facilitate organisations to develop a culture of evaluation and learning,
