DESCRIPTION:On 1 and 2 December 2009, CSSP and Partners Kosova are org
 anising a conference in Pristina hosted by the Ministry of Justice ent
 itled “Mediation in Kosovo: Maximizing Potential”.\n\nThe purpose 
 of the conference is to bring together experts from the different fiel
 ds of mediation to draft a comprehensive strategy for the development 
 of mediation to be implemented by the Ministry of Justice.\n\nProf. Ch
 ristian Schwarz-Schilling and the Minister of Justice, Nekibe Kelmendi
 , will give words of welcome. Noa Zanolli, an internationally experien
 ce mediator who has worked with the Swiss Agency for Development and C
 ooperation and the Swiss Red Cross and is the former Director of Educa
 tion at the Iowa Peace Institute, will be the keynote speaker.\n\nWork
 ing groups will focus on topics such as challenges to the legal framew
 ork of mediation, the possibilities for mediation in property disputes
 , developing certification and training regulations for mediators, and
  exploring inter-community mediation.\n\nThe conference is open to the
