The purpose of the conference is to bring together experts from the different fields of mediation to draft a comprehensive strategy for the development of mediation to be implemented by the Ministry of Justice.
Prof. Christian Schwarz-Schilling and the Minister of Justice, Nekibe Kelmendi, will give words of welcome. Noa Zanolli, an internationally experience mediator who has worked with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Swiss Red Cross and is the former Director of Education at the Iowa Peace Institute, will be the keynote speaker.
Working groups will focus on topics such as challenges to the legal framework of mediation, the possibilities for mediation in property disputes, developing certification and training regulations for mediators, and exploring inter-community mediation.
